When: This Saturday (1st March), 6 p.m.
How much to bring: Enough for yourself (For those who haven't paid $15 by this Friday, please bring an extra $15, thank you!)

The booking for Fish and Co hasn't been confirmed yet, but Jon said that they can help us reserve if we call back that afternoon by 3p.m. We can most definitely do that, so yay :D Anyway no worries, because Sharon and I will be there early, yay for us! Ahaha.

Also, only 10 people have paid for STJ 2 so far. Thank you Gek LiHui WeiZheng KokWei MaoYang ZiHua ShiXian KaiXiang YipKang and Joshua! (Haha yeah, I haven't paid either. Tsk.) In case some of you have forgotten, and haven't checked EMB/SMB/whatever you call it, some of us have to attend the interview skillzz workshop this Saturday! Yeah that's just a reminder. It ends at 1, so you have ample time to bathe/have lunch/mug before going for STJ. Some of us are meeting up at 4 to walk around randomly, so please feel free to join us (: But there will be no playing of soccer allowed!

STJ 1 is coming!! (Yes, there will be an STJ 2, so please look out for it.)

We are taking 6N out to dinner this Saturday! I know this blog is rather dead and not many people come here, but hopefully those who weren't at the fish tank joining in the birthday celebrations today will be able to see this message. And hopefully dayong managed to get his present and the slice of birthday cake we left for him outside the council room. Haha.

Meeting time: 6 p.m. (Don't be late k! In fact it would be nice if you turn up early :D I don't want to be the first there cos I'm the first to reach school every morning and it gets really lonely sometimes )):: )

Anyway. A random fact noted by us The Class Girls. This guy in another class asked Bin Bin if girls like red, pink or white roses for Valentine's day. Turns out it's because their class guys are buying roses for all the girls in the class! So sweet right! Haha. And we were lamenting the fact that no one buys stuff for us poor 5 girls. Sniff Sniff.

Venue: Chemistry laboratory
Duration: 1 h 10 min
Skill assessed: D
Topic: Chemical energetics

2. It is suggested that you use a normal scientific calculator
rather than the graphing calculator. Candidates who wish to use the
graphing calculator are required to reset their graphing calculator
memory, and show the Invigilator the “MEM CLEARED” screen before
the commencement of the examination.

3. Writing paper and Generic Mark Scheme for Skill D are provided
during the examination. The generic mark scheme can also be found in
the Skill D lecture notes.

4. Revision work: Skill D lecture notes, D1, D2 and D3

5. Application for exemption
* Candidates who need to apply for exemption (only if you are
representing the school in a competition or other official duties)
should obtain the "SPA Exemption Form" from College Reception,
complete it & submit to your CCA Teacher I/C for signature. Please
speak to your CCA Teacher regarding this matter.
* The form must then be submitted to your Chemistry Teacher.
* IMMEDIATE action needed! Please also note that you MUST inform
your Chemistry Teacher immediately if you need to apply for
exemption.

6. Absence from school on day of assessment
* Call Chemistry Rep & ask him or her to inform the Chemistry
Teacher.
* Only MC is accepted, NOT parent’s letter.
* Original copy of MC must be submitted to the Chemistry Teacher

a photocopy for your Civics Tutor.
* Candidates who are absent without MC or prior approval (by
applying for exemption before examination date) will be given zero
mark for this assessment of Skill D.
