Thinking deeper whether scholarships are meant for you
Hi 07S6E,
It is never too early to consider this issue because it will determine your optimal mix of time that you will spend on leisure, CCA and academics, even at this point of time.
Conventional wisdom would probably tell you guys to apply for a whole truckload of scholarships and just take the best one that you are offered.

TEACHERS' DAY 2007
Hello! The annual Teachers’ Day is just around the corner! Want to show your appreciation for your teachers for their relentless effort and dedication and yet not sure how?

Wal-Mart and the Shanghai Pirates
Hi 07S6E,
I was explaining to you during lessons about how Wal-Mart wanted to extend the "burning time" of movies into blank DVDs so that people could shop longer at the store.
This was the article where I got the story from. There is also a very interesting application on price elasticity of demand inside that would be useful to know and understand.

ahh i feel happier too cos i just got enlightened on something which has been bothering me for rather long! YAYYY! :D so here's a sweet song for you This Is My Now by Jordin Sparks

CLASS OUTING SOON :D!!!!!!
i am v v happy and hyper today! :D guess why.
AHAHA ive been like smiling almost the whole day omg im spastic or something SINCE WHEN HAVE I BEEN SO HAPPY?
ANYWAY! today during swimming lesson we were discussing what/when we should do/go for class outing! :D
(i think) we decided on going to uh east coast park for a picnic! next sunday morning! can you guys make it? (:
oh oh oh we didn't celebrate/haven't celebrated the april/may/june/july babies' birthdays!

June - Zihua! (his birthday was during blocks ahaha)

National Day Celebrations 07
National Day Icon 2065
Design and build a National Day Icon for Singapore for the year 2065
- It should be at least 1.5m in height and able to stand on its own
- It does not involve an actual person being part of it in any way
- Cost of design to be $10/-
- Be creative!
Each CT is to fill up a proposal form for selection in their own faculty. Each faculty will display their National Icon for 2 days - 6th and 7th of August. The school will vote for the best icon by using empty drink cans.
Fashion Parade
- Design a National Costume for Singapore (1 male, 1 female)
- Design should keep within budget of &20/-
- Costumes must not be low-cut or too short (above the knee)
- Be creative but also remember that your costume has to be wearable!
Rubrics:
- Creativity and originality (design, form and colour) to be absolutely stunning, very creative and original!
- Practicality (material and design) - looks comfortable and definitely feasible
- Significance (to NDP 2007 theme) - very meaningful and exemplifies theme exceptionally

It's happening on your school grounds on the 3rd week of August - Wed 15 to Fri 24, this intra-Athena, inter-class competition! The sports offered are Basketball, Netball (Aeki's favourite), Volleyball, Floorball, Table Tennis, Badminton and Soccer. Each CT is to nominate 3, inclusive of 1 Person-In-Charge, for each sport (minimum of 3 sports selected) the class is interested in.
For Athenians who are less athletically inclined DON'T WORRY! There are games for you to enjoy too. A game of Carrom? How about Bridge? Suggest on the sign-up form!
Register with your CT Rep or Assistant CT Rep who will have the sign-up form for Sweaty Sporty Athena!

will it be sunset for good, i wonder
i'm gna add my little input to this stale blog again. i'm kinda weary of school life now. it's draining me, sapping away what little energy i have each day. anddd something is bothering me so. ugh, i wish it didn't turn out that way but ayeee it's worsening and there's nothing that can be done. don't bother finding out from me cos i don't even want to talk about it. ahhhhh. but i know it will get better. i hope.
blocks have been a killer and i'm struggling to get just a pass, gosh. life isn't that smooth for me it seems. the pace is picking up while i'm still in stagnant waters. i need time! lotsa of it.
sorry for using this as my personal space but isn't it great to have a new post! i know you all wouldn't mind (: plus i doubt anyone would read my entry anyway.
and not to worry, gek will be a happy little girl :DD i won't be that affected yeah.

Class fund for Term 3
hi folks,
can everyone pls pls pls pls bring $25 on friday (6 July)? cos our class fund is like negative n we still owe aeki $250 n wei zheng $50. on this note, aeki n wei zheng will not hav to pay up this time, and the class will owe u two $225 n $25 respectively...
thx loads for ur cooperation. see u guys (n ur money!!) on friday... pls help to remind our classmates if u see them during sabbats.
hav fun during sabbats, n stay safe!
